This module introduces students to the comprehension, analysis, and communication of scientific information in English. It aims to develop essential language skills needed to read scientific articles, understand technical vocabulary in biology, and produce clear written and oral scientific communication.
The course covers the fundamentals of scientific English, the structure of research papers (IMRAD), reading strategies such as skimming and scanning, thematic scientific vocabulary, and written communication techniques including abstracts, lab reports, and professional emails.
Through practical activities and the analysis of scientific texts, students learn to understand and produce scientific content in English and to participate more effectively in academic and professional exchanges.
