This module focuses on strengthening students’ scientific reading and writing skills in English, with an emphasis on the comprehension and production of academic texts.
The course covers essential components of scientific communication, including figure and table interpretation, the use of linking words and comparative structures, phrasal verbs commonly used in scientific discourse, and the analysis of research papers.
Through guided exercises, text analysis, and targeted writing tasks, students develop the linguistic tools necessary to understand scientific literature, summarise findings, and communicate their own work clearly and effectively in English.
