Probability and Statistics is a foundational course that introduces students to the principles of collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and modeling data, as well as quantifying uncertainty through probability theory. The course develops the mathematical tools needed to describe real-world phenomena, make informed decisions based on data, and solve engineering and scientific problems. Students will explore descriptive statistics, combinatorial analysis, probability concepts, random variables, and probability distributions while developing analytical thinking and problem-solving skills applicable across various disciplines.

Analyze and summarize data using appropriate descriptive statistical measures and graphical representations.
Apply counting techniques and probability rules to evaluate the likelihood of events and solve practical probability problems.
